Decorative Concrete In Houston TX

Using ornamental concrete bands over regions of flat and non-decorative concrete is one type of decorative concrete in Houston TX. The size of these concrete bands will be determined by the overall size of the concrete area and the desired appearance of the area. When it comes to bands, they can be any form of decorative concrete: stamped, exposed aggregate, colored concrete, salt finish, and so on.

Concrete with brush finishing is another type of ornamental concrete. Depending on the bristles used in the broom, the finish might be light or coarse. While, unlike many other types of decorative concrete, it does not have a fancy finish, it does give a non-slip surface, making it a very functional decorative concrete. You should not use any broom for this type of decorative concrete, but rather brooms designed for this purpose.

Colored concrete is a popular ornamental concrete option. Colored concrete comes in two main varieties. It can be incorporated into the mix or used as a dry shake on top of the concrete.

Another popular type of ornamental concrete is exposed aggregate. The multicolored boulders placed in the concrete are often just the appropriate touch of décor for your driveway or walkways. This sort of ornamental concrete is typically created by washing off the top layer of cement paste, either chemically, with water pressure, or sandblasted, allowing the rocks to show through. In this situation, the rocks can either be placed on top of the concrete or mixed.

Float and trowel textured concrete is another type of decorative concrete. It is a type of ornamental concrete since it allows you to create a variety of designs on the concrete, such as swirls, varying sizes of arcs, or virtually any shape you can think of. The texture produced can be coarse, medium, or smooth as desired. What you get is determined by the tool used to create the pattern. Wood floats, for example, provide coarser textures in the concrete, but aluminum floats or steel trowels produce medium or smooth surfaces.

Another type of stunning decorative concrete is painted concrete. You may utilize this type of decorative concrete in almost any setting; you just need to make sure that the concrete is well cured, so if you already have concrete and want to turn it into beautiful concrete, paint the existing concrete.

Another common ornamental concrete finish is a rock slat finish. It is a cool approach because it is not scientific in nature; rather, it's quite simple. A typical water softener salt crystal of about 1/8" to 3/8" in size is smoothed onto fresh concrete, and a roller of some form is used to crush the salt crystals into the concrete. When the Concrete dry's the surface is washed, allowing the salt to dissolve and leave little holes. After drying, the concrete is washed to dissolve the salt and leave small holes.

There are numerous additional types of ornamental concrete. Your imagination is the limit, and you can even turn your existing concrete into ornamental concrete, which can increase the value of your home and make your living spaces more beautiful.
