The Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) component of the CAT exam is one of the most difficult. VARC preparation is difficult because there is no VARC syllabus in the CAT test. Expert faculty at BYJU's Exam Prep have prepared some suggestions and tactics for preparing successfully for the VARC section of the CAT 2022 in this post. Let's get this party started!

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) is an acronym for Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. This section assesses your command of the English language. Among the three, the VARC CAT 2022 portion is expected to be the most difficult. Any question asked in the CAT exam is only up to the level of a tenth grader. The CAT exam, on the other hand, assesses a candidate's ability to reply quickly and accurately to questions. This section of the CAT 2022 exam had 24 questions.

How to Prepare for CAT VARC?

To ace the VARC part of CAT 2022, you must remember the following points:

  • Every day, practise 1 or 2 hours of reading.
  • You can give or search for free online cat mock test
  • Examine a variety of sources (newspapers, editorials, magazines, Aeon essays, etc).
  • When addressing a comprehension problem, make it a habit to understand the overarching idea from the context of the material.
  • Only practice will help you conquer this section of the CAT 2022 exam.

Also, for the verbal segment, make sure you practise as many prior year papers as possible. It mostly covers subjects such as para-jumbles, para-summaries, Odd One Out, and so on. Start taking mocks and analyzing them after you've achieved at least 80-90 percent accuracy with the questions and RCs. This will help you discover and work out your deficiencies.
