Though we don’t get much space inside our homes for the temples, we can still be creative with the limited space. Painting the walls of the temple room in the light shades of yellow or orange will help keep the space open and peaceful while doing medication. Also, it will add a dash of sunny colour. Use Lighting

The lights installed inside the Pooja room play an important role in creating an appropriate serious yet positive setting. For example, you can decorate the altar with colourful hanging Diya for pooja room or small battery-operated tea lights, which are trendy these days. Else you can use pendant lights to brighten the dome of the temple. A chandelier for overall ambient lighting is yet another beautiful way to light up the entire space without making the space look too bright as well. 

Decorate the Floor

It is quite common practice to decorate the floor before the altar with freshly made rangolis; though it looks beautiful, it is sometimes a time-consuming task. Along with using freshly made rangolis, you can look for a permanent solution by simply painting the rangoli design on the floor in a contrasting colour. You can also place a small rug, a decorative cushion, and some fresh flowers to adorn the room and give it a fresh feeling.

Right Kind of Accessorise

You can decorate the doorway with torans or garlands of marigolds strung across the entrance. Also, loose fresh flowers or petals spread across the mandap, brass lamps, pooja thalis & diyas, and bells will give the place a fresh and welcoming feel. 

Utilize Corner Space Successfully

Many puja decoration items can create a new look to the corner, and you can utilize the corner space purposefully by placing your temple over there. Along with corner shaped temple, you can also consider a triangular or round-shaped temple that goes best with your space. The long hanging bells used in the temples can create a welcoming and worshipping space. If you have limited space inside your home, you can opt for Pooja cabinets in stunning designs and get them customized as per your needs.
