Dying Light 2 Developer Gives Update on Possible New Game+ Mode

Dying Light 2 has been out in the wild now for almost a month, and fans have been given a stream of news regarding the possible addition of New Game+. While nothing has been officially reported, a developer who works on Dying Light 2 has teased the element.

In the development to its release, Dying Light 2 was particularly charged as a game wherein the player would settle on choices that would affect the story and their general surroundings. Despite the fact that reviews didn't see the story positively, the tight parkour and satisfying battle guaranteed that Dying Light 2 sold well indeed.

Tymon Smektała, who is a lead designer on Dying Light 2, has explained on whether the RPG is probably going to get a New Game+ mode. While Smektała can't offer any dates for New Game+ being added, he does say that he hopes the element can be executed, and assuming this is the case, rather soon. Smektała also says that the thought was for players to encounter choices different to their own through the community mode while investigating another player's reality. Some Twitter users have responded to the tweet with calls to fix the game itself prior to adding new content. This comes as little surprise, as Dying Light 2 released in a seriously buggy state.

Dying Light 2s predecessor, Dying Light, included a New Game+ mode, implying that it is without a doubt that the sequel will also get the mode at some point. New Game+ is a common component in games nowadays, as it gives players a reason to hop once again into a game and keeps them snared for longer. The expected addition of New Game+ is probably going to energize players, as it will permit them to use the numerous parkour skills that it takes hours of play time to pile up during the original playthrough of the game.

While the addition of this element is reasonable, there will be those who want to hop back in. Dying Light 2 has so much content and things to do in the open world that returning and rehashing it might feel like to a greater extent a task as opposed to a fun time for some players. Regardless, some will surely see the value in the option.
