DHL Express places an order with Boeing for six new 777 Freighters. Since placing its first direct order for today's largest and most capable twin-engine freighter in 2018, DHL Express has purchased a total of 28 777 Freighters.
"With the order of six new, large widebody freighter aircraft, we continue to invest in our future and further enhance the capability and reach of our global air network. The Boeing 777 Freighter is the most fuel-efficient aircraft in its class and will connect DHL's global hubs in Cincinnati, Leipzig and Hong Kong as well as serving other key markets," said Geoff Kehr, senior vice president, Global Air Fleet Management, DHL Express.
"We are committed to providing the highest quality and efficient services to our customers while at the same time lowering our carbon emissions by modernizing our fleet with the most efficient aircraft type available. The new aircraft will significantly contribute to our aspiration to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions to under 29 million tons by 2030." When compared to older aircraft, the 777 Freighter improves fuel economy and reduces CO2 emissions by 17%. DHL Express has received 15 777 Freighters so far.

November 18, 2019: Antalya-based carrier SunExpress, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines is exercising options for 10 additional B737 MAX 8 airplanes at the Dubai Airshow to continue renewing its fleet.
The purchase, valued at $1.2 billion according to list prices, adds to a previous SunExpress order for 32 MAX airplanes.
However, it goes without saying that this requires the undisputed airworthiness of the model, granted by all relevant authorities."
The airline, which specialises in offering direct connections between Europe, Turkey and popular holiday destinations, has achieved significant growth in recent years as it steadily expanded its fleet of mainly B737 airplanes.

September 25, 2019: Low-cost carrier IndiGo has signed an agreement with aerospace company Boeing to integrate Jeppesen Ops Control and Tail Assignment solutions to optimise crew schedule management and manage aircraft more efficiently.
Ops Control will allow IndiGo to proactively manage aircraft flight schedule and crew assignments on the day of operation, while Tail Assignment will improve on time performance, lower fuel and maintenance costs and utilise aircraft more efficiently by analysing operational data.
The announcement was made by Boeing in a press release listing out its orders and agreements with leading Asia-Pacific airlines.
