Mukand Lal National College was established in 1955 by a great visionary and educationist Seth Jai Prakash Ji in the cherished memory of his illustrious father Seth Mukand Lal Ji, who was a renowned Gandhian and philanthropist. From the founder Principal Mr. R.N. Rihan, Prof. Tilak Raj Chadha took over the charge. He and his successors, Dr. B.K. Chanan, Dr. K.L. Johar ,Dr. Ramesh Kumar and Dr. Shailesh Kapoor with the able support and magnamity of Chairman, Seth Ashok Kumar Ji coupled with unstinted support of faculty members have succeeded in carving a niche for the college as a premier institute of higher education in Northen India. The present incumbent, has taken the baton from his illustrious predecessors with the mission of carrying the College to still greater heights with the blessings and guidance of Sh. Ashok Kumar, Chairman, and day to day active support from Dr. Ramesh Kumar, General Secretary, College Managing Committee coupled with full support from the experienced and dedicated faculty. During the course of its long journey, the College has scaled towering heights in academics, sports, co-curricular activities and social service and its alumni has made a mark in different fields of public service and public life.It was established by Mukand Lal College Society (Regd.) In the year 1955 when there was no College in the whole vicinity. Since then, the College has made strides and soon curved a special niche in the Academic World. There has never been the proverbial looking back since its inception. At present it has come to be widely recognized as one of the top most privately managed Government Aided Multi-faculty Co-Educational Post Graduate Colleges in Haryana. It is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra although admissions are made strictly on merit basis. The number of students crosses the figure of 4000 despite all checks and restrictions.
Well! The obvious reasons for our College being so reputed is the exceptionally high quality of education being disseminated here. We never compromise on merit. State of the Art infrastructure fully equipped labs laced with latest technology a large number of computers supported by WI-FI system, the oldest and one of the richest libraries having a real treasure trove of rare books, congenial academic atmosphere, highly qualified, competent and dedicated faculty, humanitarian approach and love of values are some of the features, I can proudly speak of. There are many more which will speak of themselves if you browse the site or better it would be if you visit the premises of the college and see everything for yourself.
