An Overview of Membrane Filters

Over the last decade, there has been a continuous development of separation techniques from vacuum belt filtration to Membrane Filter for dry fractionation of Palm oil. The entire process takes place at the Plam Fractionation process Plant supplier. The process includes oil heating, oil charging, crystallization, filtration, and cleaning of the filter.

Membrane Filter for dry fractionation of Palm oil is a good economic modification technique. But first, let's understand the primary concept of dry fractionation. It is also known as crystallization from the melt. Fraction crystallization allows it to be used for the production of the commodity of fats. Earlier dry fractionation was known as a labor-intensive process. But due to changes in time, it has evolved to the modification technology. Post evolving without additives, polluting effluents is more sustainable and safe.

Membrane Filter for dry fractionation of Palm oil

The use of membrane filters in sludge dewatering systems is the most used separation technology in dry fractionation. The membrane filter consists of large steel frames. This large steel frame has the ability to hold up to 150 filter plates together. Each plate counts to a max 7 m2 of filtration surface over 100L filter chamber volume.

The reason behind filling filter chambers with crystal suspension is that a large part of liquid olein passes via the filter cloth. After this, the watertight membranes get inflated like internal balloons to the required pressures. This reduces the chamber volume and pushes out the residual liquid. After being pushed out, it is immediately tested through the internal channels in the plate towards the collecting tanks.

The result of volume reduction of the chamber leads to compacts and dries the cake.

A membrane Filter for dry fractionation of Palm oil is available in the market to meet higher purity.

Sustainable Membrane Filter of Palm oil

The sustainability of membrane procedure depends on a variety of factors of which fouling mitigation is the most central. Fouling hampers membrane procedure of wastewater treatment. It affects the membrane for a lifetime. Thus, fouling remains the important factor that governs the performance of membrane filtration systems.
