The new 2022 Supra 2.0 four-cylinder model starts at $43,945, dropping the sports car's base price by $8,000 from the 2020 six-cylinder model. Inline six-engined 2022 Supra 3.0 models that get a slight power bump cost between $500 and $1,000 depending on trim level.
The Supra 2.0 is available in one trim level, which is less well equipped than the 3.0 models. It gets by with manually adjustable seats, 18-inch wheels, and a four-speaker audio system (JBL's 12-speaker system is available as an option as part of the Safety & Technology package for $3,485). Nitro yellow paint is also a $425 option. Its turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four produces 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed automatic. Toyota expects the four-cylinder model to account for about 20 percent of Supra sales in the US overall.
The Supra 3.0 remains available in three trim levels. The base 3.0 starts at $51,945, up $1,000; 3.0 Premium starts at $55,445, up $500; and last year's Launch Edition is being replaced by a new A91 special edition model for 2022, which starts at $56,945, up $740. All Supra 3.0s get an upgraded turbo 3.0-liter inline-six with 382 horsepower, 47 bhp punch. The eight-speed automatic remains the only choice for all 2022 Supras.
Toyota says production of the 2022 Supra has been delayed until early August, meaning those models should start arriving at US dealerships later in the fall.
