Delicious Kale Smoothies

There's no denying it: Kale is a versatile, really wonderful vegetable, regardless of flavour. Kale is a superfood in every aspect — except when it comes to flavour. It's packed with protein, vitamins, fibre, and vital minerals, and it's thought to aid the body fight anything from asthma to diabetes and more.

It's a shame, because most of us might benefit from more of this dark leafy green in our diets, and we'd gladly add a healthy infusion of kale to our meals if it didn't taste like a fistful of dirt. Hold your breath, because we've found a kale Blendtec smoothie recipe from around the web that manages to convert this bitter vegetable into some of the finest smoothies you've ever had.

1. Smoothie with Kale, Pineapple, and Almond Milk

The best kale smoothies use tasty foods that work well together to generate fantastic taste. Most kale smoothies include other sweet tastes to help conceal the bitter tang of the kale, but the best kale smoothies use flavorful foods that work well together to create an amazing taste. This is the case with this smoothie, which has a beautiful complementing combination of pineapple, almond milk, and banana that tickles the mouth.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart of almond milk (unsweetened)
  • 12 CUPS OF PINK PINEAPPLE JUICE
  • 1 kale cup (chopped, packed)
  • 12 cup pineapple (fresh) (diced)
  • a single banana

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a Blendtec blender and mix on high until smooth.

This smoothie may just be your first step toward a happier life by clearing all of that leftover holiday cheer from your system and giving you a chance to start the new year off right... and it tastes great, too!
