Brownies with Cream Cheese

These swirling cream cheese desserts combine the flavours of chocolate brownies with cheesecake in one bite. Rich fudgy brownies with rich cream-cheese swirls that are sweet and zesty.


Overview of the recipe


Brownie layer: For this recipe, use a variant of my Homemade Brownies as the basis. They come out moist and fudgy, with melty chocolate chips all around.


Softened cream cheese, sugar, egg white, flour, and vanilla essence make up the cream cheese layer.


Assemble the brownies by scooping about two-thirds of the batter onto an 8-inch square pan and smoothing it into an equal layer. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture and the leftover brownie mixture on top of each other. Swirl the two batters together using the point of a sharp knife.


Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the brownies are largely set but still fudgy.
