The Khumbu region provides a variety of hiking trails ranging from easy to difficult. The Everest Three Passes Trek is one of Khumbu's most adventurous and difficult treks. You will ascend to three tough passes during the Everest 3 Passes trek: Kongma La (5,535m), Cho La (5,420m), and Renjo La (5,535m) (5,360m). All of these passes will provide you with breathtaking views of the Himalayas from various angles.
OUTLINE ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel.
Day 2: Preparation for Trek and Permit Paperwork Day.
Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m) – 25 to 30 minutes, trek to Phakding (2,640m) -2 to 3 hours
Day 4: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,430m) -5 to 6 hours
Day 5: Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar and visit Khumjung Village (3,790m) & Everest View Hotel (3,880m) for -2 to 3 hours.
Day 6: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,867m) -5 to 6 hours
Day 7: Tyangboche to Dingboche (4,410m) -5 to 6 hours
Day 8: Acclimatization and Explore day at Dingboche, climb Nangkartshang Peak (5,615m) – 2 hours. Day 9: Dingboche to Chukkung (4,730m) – 2 to 2 ½ Hours
Day 10: Checking to Lobuche (4,930m) via Kongma La (5,535m) – 7 to 8 Hours
Day 11: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,140m) - 3 hours & Everest Base Camp (5,360m) -2 to 3 hours
Day 12: Gorakshep to Kalapathar (5,550m) -2 hours & Stroll back to Dzongla (4,830m) -4 to 5 hours
Day 13: Dzongla to Tangnank (4,700m) via Chola La (5,420m) -6 to 7 hours
Day 14: Thangnak to Gokyo (4,790m) -2 to 3 hours.
Day 15: Rest Day in Gokyo (4790m)/ Explore day in Gokyo Peak (5,360m) -2 hours or Fifth Lakes/ Ngozumpa Tsho (4,990m) – 2 to 3 hours
Day 16: Gokyo to Marulung (4,150m) via Renjo La (5,360m) – 7 to 8 hours
Day 17: Marulung to Thame (3,800m) – 4 to 5 hours
Day 18: Thame to Manjo (2,835m) -5 to 6 hours
Day 19: Manjo to Lukla (2,800m) -4 to 5 hours
Day 20: Fly back to Kathmandu – 25 to 30 minutes
Day 21: Drive to the airport for your Home destination.
