What is CCC Certification?

China Compulsory Certificate (CCC) is the certification process that allows the seller to affix a CCC mark on the product to demonstrate that the product is safe. Thus, the CCC mark is the passageway to the Chinese market. 

In December 2001, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ) and the Certification Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China publicized the CCC.

To be noted, CCC certification was implemented on May 1, 2002. However, it came into full effect on August 1, 2003. 

Moreover, CCC certification incorporates China’s two mandatory inspection systems: CCIB (China Commodity Inspection Bureau) and CCEE (China Commission for Conformity Certification of Electrical Equipment) to simplify foreign trade. 

Additionally, from 2019 for certain products, you can either do the voluntary certification or CCC-self certification. 



How to Get CCC Certificate?




Before commencing the CCC certification, it will be determined whether the CCC certification is applied to a product or not. 


If it does, the CCC certification application form will be filled. 


After application submission, the test samples for testing needs to be provided to the CCC accredited laboratory. 


Along with testing, CCC certification officials will also conduct the initial inspection of the factory. 


If a products withstand the CCC certificate requirements, the CCC certification will be obtained.
