Which Is Better - Nerf Strongarm vs Disruptor

Not sure which nerf gun is best? Getting a little tired of your old reliable?

Nerf strongarm and disruptor are two guns that you can find in most stores. They both offer awesome features and can be used for just about anything, but they also come with their own set of disadvantages. We'll talk about the differences, but feel free to read our post on 10 Nerf guns before making a decision.

NERF STRONGARM - The gun you've been using for years:

The Nerf Strongarm has been Nerf's standard sidearm for a few years now. It features a metal drum magazine, 110-shot capacity, and only 2-4 darts to reload depending on your ammunition type. This is usually good for up to 50 rounds on a good day.

This blaster features a rotating barrel for the standard range of fire, usually about 35-40 feet. It also has a few attachments such as a barrel extension and some tactical rails for added accessories. The drum magazine is big enough to be able to smoke your enemies, but it can't hold as many darts as some of the newer models. The best distance you can shoot this gun is probably 60 feet depending on how good you are with the trigger.

The price of the Strongarm is usually around $15-$20, which is on the low side for Nerf guns. The weaknesses of this blaster are the drum magazine and distance. It's fun to use at all times, but it's not as powerful as some of the newer weapons in the Nerf arsenal. With the new darts that come out these days, you may have trouble getting through 100 shots, especially if you're trying to engage in a long range fight.

NERF DISRUPTOR - A super-durable, mega-powerful blaster:

This gun offers a new type of ammunition for its blasts. It has been known to be one of the most powerful Nerf guns you can buy. The ammo type is called 'micro-darts' or 'elite darts', which have a smaller tip than the normal darts and are made of a denser plastic. This increases the power behind each shot, but you only get about 8 in each clip, which can be a bit of a hassle.

The blaster itself is very light and compact. This makes it easy to carry around with you or fire from behind a wall without losing accuracy. It's good for up-close combat because the smaller ammo darts are harder to dodge. It has no iron sights or tactical rails, however it does have a nice big handle at the front that makes loading easier. It truly is one of the most powerful Nerf guns you can buy, but the ammo capacity and reloading may pose some problems.

The price of the Disruptor is usually around $20-$25, which is on the high end of prices for Nerf guns. The main weakness of the gun is that it holds a small amount of ammo. The 8 darts can be a bit hard to get through even with constant fire, and if you are put in a situation where you may have to reload throughout the battle, then this gun isn't going to help you out too much.

Conclusion:

Which Nerf gun is better? This is actually a hard question to answer, because it depends on what you're looking for. If you're just looking to have a good time and don't care much about the actual nerfing, then the nerf strongarm will be just fine. However, if you are a pro or are getting ready for serious nerfing, then go with the Disruptor.
