Should a home product somehow get into your eyes causing stinging and burning sensations, you should read the label for directions.  In most cases, thorough rinsing of your eyes eases the burning.

For instance, adults and kids often use sunscreen during the summer months and may accidentally get some in the eyes.  Yes, the stinging or burning might feel really bad initially, but rinsing your eyes using clean water should ease this.

If you suffer from allergies, your doctor might prescribe certain eye drop medication that could ease the burning felt typically during allergies season.  Drops like these are different from oral allergy medication as they could sometimes cause the eyes to sting by making them dry out.

If you think that the anti-allergy medication or any medications you might be taking might be causing a sensation of burning eyes, ensure that you talk to your doctor about this before you stop taking the medicine.

Burning feeling in the eyes that is caused by dry eyes could typically be averted by using artificial tears, or eye drops for lubrication.  When choosing an artificial tears brand, select a product that is free from preservatives, especially if you are planning on using these drops often.  If the uncomfortable feeling does not subside, consult your doctor.  There might be other treatments for dry eyes that could work better for you and even relieve the burning eyes sensation.

Do consult your optometrist Fort Worth, TX before using any type of medication or eye product on your eyes.
