A question of how many days someone should work out has always presented itself especially to gain muscle. Everyone these days seems to have a different plan and answer on how to build muscle; however, it’s not that simple to build muscle. Exercises plan and workouts are made to suit an individual's needs and body goals. For instance, a person trying to reduce weight may have a different workout regime from an athlete. As a general rule, hitting one work out session per week is better than no workout at all because it maintains a base level of strength. So as you can see understanding how many times per week a person workout to gain muscle is important



With a workout goal in mind, the next question now is how many days I should work out? When it’s a matter of general health, there is no need to work out every day, in fact in this case there is something as too much exercise as you are not trying to condition your body to a specific activity hence two to three days a week of full body workouts should be enough. This should not stop you from doing physical activities on recovery days like walking or light exercises; in fact it is recommended. If you happen to be focused on fat and weight loss having a good work out session three to four days a week involving cardio and strength training is ideal keeping the heart healthy, building muscle and burning calories.In cases where you are trying to condition your body for a sport, then you need to work out six times a week and take a day off to let your muscles regenerate.

Recovery doesn’t mean sit and not do anything; you’re encouraged to do light sessions, stretching, light cardio and foam rolling and sleep to fully recover.The basic guideline to answer this question is knowing your fitness goals and prioritizing recovery days and sticking to your plan?
