Cash App doesn’t allow users to load physical cash into a Cash Card or a Cash App account at the time of writing. While there are prepaid cards you can reload in nearby stores, Cash App doesn’t partner with any retailers for in-person reloading services.
The only way to add funds to your Cash Card is through the Cash App, which accepts bank transfers, direct deposits, and payments from other Cash App accounts.
Linking a Bank Account: If you haven’t already, you’ll need to link a bank account to your Cash App account to add funds. You can do this by entering your debit card information Cash App supports all major debit cards with the Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover logo, including government-enabled prepaid cards.
If you don’t have your debit card on hand, you can also select your bank in the Cash App, entering the username and password you use for online banking to link the accounts.
Adding Funds: To add funds to your Cash Card, select the “Banking” tab on the home screen of the Cash App, then tap “Add Cash.” You’ll be prompted to type in the amount of money you’d like to add. After choosing an amount, tap “Add” to confirm the transaction, and then confirm your identity using Touch ID, Face ID, or your PIN.
Note that your Cash Card balance is the same as your Cash App account balance, so there are no extra steps to add funds to the card specifically. Additionally, there’s no fee to add funds to your Cash App balance.
