The Annapurna Royal Trek got its name after Prince Charles of Britain and his 90 associates visited this route in the early eighties. An easy trek, the Nepal Royal Trek begins from Pokhara up to 1,500m elevation around the valley. Therefore you can do it in winter with children and family.
