Annapurna Royal Trek

The Royal Trek is one of the best treks in the Annapurna region for those who want to experience village life and striking mountain views in a relatively short period of time. The trail goes through different ethnic groups’ villages and farmland to the north of the Pokhara Valley. The Annapurna Royal Trek got its name after Prince Charles of Britain and his 90 associates visited this route in the early eighties. The trail leads you through the villages set among cultivated fields where meeting the local people is quite an unforgettable experience.

An easy trek, the Nepal Royal Trek begins from Pokhara up to 1,500m elevation around the valley. Therefore you can do it in winter with children and family. The views offered include the wonderful Pokhara valley, tranquil lakes, the panoramic Annapurna range, Manaslu Himal, Machapuchhre (fishtail), and Langtang. Relaxing in the beautiful hamlets with the stunning views of the eloquently built hillside rice terraces with different mixed cultures such as Magar, Gurung, Brahmin, and Chris makes for a wonderful royal holiday. The trip finally ends at the scenic Begnas Lake which is about 30 km west of Pokhara City.

The Annapurna Royal Trekking is recommended for beginners or those who have very limited time because it offers an opportunity to experience an unforgettable trekking holiday in the Himalaya range. Te Royal Trek presents an unlimited true picture of the Himalayas and affords us the chance to experience the traditional lifestyles of the tribes whose ancient religious practices and traditions have remained unchanged for thousands of years.

We at “Nepal Mother House Treks” offer our Annapurna Royal Trek itinerary in shorter and longer versions as our clients’ desires and holiday schedule permits. Our well-experienced guide runs this trek year-round but the best time is the beginning of September to mid-November and the beginning of March to mid-May.
