What does a diet in a professional nutritionist's office really involve?

An integral part of a healthy lifestyle is eating properly. Anyone who would like to feel better, have higher energy levels and better health should visit the office of a nutritionist. A specialist will help not only to lose weight, but also to reduce and even overcome the symptoms of diseases that are increasingly affecting us, and on which diet has a huge impact.

Dietary treatment is particularly important in emaciation, obesity, gout, heart disease, kidney disease, gastrointestinal disease, hypertension and diabetes. A professional dietician will help you to change your eating habits. A specially prepared diet, together with the care of a dietician, will allow you to achieve lasting effects, i.e. an increase in strength, fitness, slim figure and satisfaction with yourself. We encourage you to find out what the so-called diet therapy, i.e. diet at a dietician's, is about :)

The first step in diet therapy is the most important, and is entirely up to us. This is the decision to change your eating habits. We must remember that the effects of diet are only visible if the patient himself is motivated to change and internally really wants to change his eating habits, his appearance and improve his health.

The second step is the most pleasant. This stage of the diet is the first consultation with a dietician. During a meeting with a specialist, you will learn a great deal about yourself. The dietician will analyse your diet so far and point out the mistakes that need to be corrected. You will find out which foods are missing from your diet, but you will also find out which specific ingredients you should avoid and which vitamins and minerals are missing from your diet.

In addition, the dietician will check not only how much you weigh, but what makes up this weight - i.e. he will check the so-called body composition - the amount of fat tissue, muscle and hydration of the body. During the visit, you have the opportunity to find out whether your metabolism is at the right level - many people blame their overweight on a low metabolic rate. Finally, during the consultation, you will receive individual dietary recommendations to improve your health, wellbeing and appearance.

The next step is the most fruitful stage, namely the reception of the diet and the start of the realisation of the dreamed goal. A real specialist, does not use any templates - he prepares the diet individually, paying attention not only to gender, body weight and the goal of diet therapy (reduction or increase of body weight, reduction of disease symptoms), but also whether the patient likes to cook, when he can afford to prepare more "complicated" dishes, or whether the dietitian excludes products that the person does not like.

The fourth and final step is the most rewarding - monitoring and maintaining the effects of the dietitian's and the patient's joint work is possible through regular meetings. The dietician checks the progress of the diet, gives motivation to continue the recommendations, enables quick corrections to be made to the menu.

The most important thing is good contact between the dietician and the patient - an effective specialist not only gives advice during live meetings, but also sends e-mails and text messages with advice and current information on an ongoing basis.

Doing a diet on your own is very difficult and gives poor results. If we want to go from the first - the most important step - to the last, the most satisfying one, I recommend visiting a dietician. The effects remain long-lasting and we not only feel better.
