SMD ROBOTIC JOINTS

Before understanding the use of Robotic Joints we must understand the Introduction of Industrial Robots in the Market. An Industrial Robot is used in Manufacturing Industries for Painting, Welding, Assembly, Inspection etc. In the past there was a need of mass production and that was the time where Industrial Robots and Special Purpose machines were Introduced. Industrial robots are used in variety of Industrial Applications as they are specially designed to perform high precision and repetitive operations. This Industrial Robots reducers labour cost and complete the task with quiet operation. With the use of this Robots the Manufacturing speed also increases with less product damage.

TYPES OF INDUSTRIAL ROBOTS :-

1)   Articulated Robots.

2)   Cartesian coordinate robots.

3)   Cylindrical coordinate robots.

4)   Spherical coordinate robots.

5)   SCARA robots.

6)   Delta Robots.

Robotic Joints is an important element in Industrial Robots, they work same as human body. It provides a relative movements between two parts. Joint space is the most common usage in Robotics to provide smooth and continuous movement from one joint angles to another. The Robot Joints is the important element in a robot which helps the links to travel in different kind of movements.

TYPES OF ROBOTIC JOINTS :-

1)   Rotational Joint.

Also called as -Joints allows the Joint to move in Rotary motion along with axis vertical to arm axis.

2)   Linear Joint.

Denoted by L-Joint, can perform both translational and sliding movements.

3)   Twisting Joint.

Referred as V-Joint, makes twisting movement among the output and input link.

4)   Orthogonal Joint:

Denoted by O-Joint where the output and the input Link move in a Right Angle.

5)   Revolving Joint.

Generally known as V-Joint, the output link axis is perpendicular to the rotational axis and the input axis is parallel to the rotational axis.

TYPES OF ROBOTIC JOINTS USED IN DIFFERENT INDUSTRIAL ROBOTS :-

1)   Articulated Robots.

This Robots usually consist of different combination of Rotary Joints. While the links in the arm are connected by rotary joints, the arm is joined to the base via a twisting joint.

2)   Cartesian Robots.

Cartesian Robots also called as rectilinear or gantry Robots may also involve attached wrist with easier rotational joint movements. Linear Joints are used in Such kind of Robots.

3)   Cylindrical Robot.

The cylindrical robot features a rotary joint that is attached to the base and one linear joint used to connect the different links.

4)   SCARA Robot.

SCARA Robots are mostly used in assembly process. It uses two parallel Joints that comes in handy and in assembly process.

5)   Delta Robots.

This Robots are designed with a Spider like build that allows them to offer great services to their users. The joints featured on this type of robot are both rotational and linear to enhance its performance efficiency.
