How to generate Consolidated E-way Bills on the E-Way Bill portal?

To transport goods within India, you must be aware of the E-way bill system. An E-way bill is a document that needs to be generated when transporting goods worth more than Rs. 50,000. The E-way bill is generated on the E-way bill portal. This blog post will show you how to generate consolidated E-way bills on the E-way bill portal.


What is a Consolidated E-way Bill?


A consolidated e-way bill is a single e-way bill generated for multiple consignments transported under the same transport document (POD). This is done to streamline generating and managing e-way bills for multiple consignments.

To generate a consolidated e-way bill, the user must first log in to the E-Way Bill portal. Once logged in, the user will be taken to the 'Generate E-Way Bill' page. On this page, the user will select 'Consolidated E-Way Bill' from the list of options. The user will then be prompted to enter the following information:

  1. Transport Document Number: The number of the transport document under which the consignments are being transported (e.g. POD number)
  2. Number of Consignments: The number of consignments being transported under the specified transport document
  3. E-Way Bill Number: The e-way bill number for each consignment being transported (these can be obtained from the individual e-way bills that have been generated for each consignment)

Once this information has been entered, the consolidated e-way bill will be generated.


How to generate a Consolidated E-way Bill on the E-Way Bill portal?


If you're a GST-registered business, you need to generate an E-Way Bill for every interstate or intrastate consignment of goods you transport. You can generate a Consolidated E-way Bill on the E-Way Bill portal.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the E-Way Bill portal (https://ewaybillgst.gov.in/) and log in with your GSTIN.
  2. Click on the "Generate New" option under the "Consolidated E-way Bill" menu.
  3. Enter the necessary details, such as the consignment type (interstate or intrastate), vehicle number, and the total value of goods.
  4. Click on the "Submit" button.
  5. An EWB-C will be generated and can be downloaded in PDF format.
