Eligibility Criteria for University of Waterloo Scholarships

 

Applicants for University of Waterloo Scholarships must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Required Languages: English
  • Eligible Countries: All World Countries
  • Candidates with a solid academic standing (usually a minimum 70% average at the undergraduate level; generally a minimum 75% average at the graduate level) are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
  • That applying must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students from any faculty who wish to participate in an international experience in Israel, such as a minimally compensated or unpaid international co-op work placement, a volunteer placement, an academic exchange, or a study term related to academic requirements.
  • International students with valid Canadian study permits are registered full-time and assessed international tuition expenses.
  • They are typically presented to students enrolled in research-based programs (thesis or major research paper).
  • Usually only offered to students starting their first term of study (term 1.0).
  • The Faculty's criteria must be used to show academic accomplishment by students.
  • Students must fulfill their program's academic progress standards and not have special probationary admission requirements.
  • This prize might be in addition to other internal or external scholarships (e.g., UW Graduate Scholarship, OGS, etc.).
  • Students should not usually be receiving concurrent foreign government or agency sponsorship (e.g., China Scholarship Council, Libyan funding, etc.) or be wholly or substantially self-funded more than the Faculty's minimal levels of assistance.
  • Students who have been grandfathered under the current IMSA program are not eligible to be nominated for an IMAE; however, a student who has already been given an IMSA for a previously completed master's degree is eligible to be nominated for an IMAE.
  • Students' eligibility for this scholarship will be determined automatically based on their admissions application. Departments and faculties must develop their internal selection procedure based on eligibility requirements and allocation.
  • If necessary, faculties may impose more challenging qualifying conditions.


 

Université de Montréal Scholarships

 

Université de Montréal Awards are tuition fee exemption scholarships. All nationalities of international students are encouraged to apply. These scholarships are offered for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies. The Université de Montréal Scholarships will provide annual funding of up to $27,300.

Eligibility Criteria for Université de Montréal Scholarships

 

To be eligible for the Global Excellence Postgraduate Taught Scholarship, candidates must meet all of the standards listed below:

  • Required Language: English.
  • Eligible Countries: All world countries
  • Those who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents must hold a study permit.
  • Throughout their education, they must be enrolled full-time in a study program.
  • Must not benefit from tuition fee exemption through another program or initiative. This form of exemption is already available to French and Belgian Francophone students.

 


Douglas College International Student Scholarships


Undergraduate overseas students can apply for the Douglas College International Student Scholarship. This grant will cover up to CAD 7000 in tuition expenses. A maximum of five eligible grantees will be chosen each academic year.

To qualify for Douglas College International Student Scholarship, the applicant must complete all of the following conditions below:

  • Applicants must have a strong command of the English language (TOEFL iBT – minimum score 83, IELTS Academic module – minimum overall band test score 6.5).
