Now that two weekends have passed where the film has performed strongly, whether Black Adam will make $1 billion at the box office is becoming a more intriguing possibility. The speculation about Black Adam hitting this box office milestone comes from the film opening on par with Aquaman, which is the only DCU movie to make a billion dollars (since Joker is separate). Dwayne Johnson's DC movie is the first since Shazam in 2019 to make more than $100 million domestically. It has also surpassed $250M worldwide at the time of this writing, meaning it is a fourth of the way to making $1 billion in just over a week.

There is no official movement on Justice League 2, as plans for a sequel halted once Zack Snyder exited the franchise. The writers of DC, including Geoff Johns, David S. Goyer, and Jerry Ordway, re-defined the character of Black Adam as a corrupted antagonist attempting to clear his reputation and name.
The first time the character appeared in Captain Marvel comics was during Fawcett’s initial publication run.
Black Adam is named Teth-Adam, which means “Mighty Human,” chosen by wizard Shazam to be his successor.
