Proper Positioning While Driving

Trying to drive while sitting in an inappropriate position has the ability to cause things like neck, back, and shoulder pain. In order to prevent this pain and ensure your comfortability, we recommend the following as things you should consider for the best results:

-Let's start with the actual seat: check to ensure the set to steering wheel distance is customized for your body and you are not overextending your reach. Your arms should be slightly bent at the elbow. Also, make sure you are sitting fully back in your seat, while still being able to reach the pedals easily. You need to make sure your thighs are resting completely on the seat cushion.

-Next is the backrest: do not sit bolt-upright in the seat either, the back needs to be slightly declined. Doing this is going to help support your back and also help to evenly distribute your weight.

-Then we have the headrest: this is going to need to be adjusted in order to properly support your neck and head. It should be tilted forward slightly, making sure it comfortably touches your head so you can rest it on it when you are driving. It's imperative you take note of the headrest because it will help to prevent injury to your neck if you ever get in an accident.

-Now we have the whole seat overall: the last thing you need to do involving your seat is make sure its height is adjusted appropriately for you. You should be able to easily see over the steering wheel and dash, while being able to reach the pedals and wheel comfortably.

-As a general rule: we do not recommend driving continuously for extended periods of time. But if you do need to be driving for a long time, we recommend stopping and stretching once an hour.
