However, you must make sure that any support workers you employ are NDIS registered and follow price guides set by the NDIA. You can also ask for workers to get an NDIS worker screening clearance, which helps reduce the risk of harm to you or others.

Self-managing your NDIS funding requires a lot of time, effort and organisation. It’s important to set up a system for keeping all documentation together, such as a hard copy folder, an electronic folder or a book you take notes in. You should also have a separate bank account that doesn’t charge fees and that you can use to pay for your NDIS-funded services.
