When you understand that each day in our life, however big or small, there are things we should be grateful or thankful of, you feel more positive. Start the habit of maintaining a gratitude journal or simply write five things that you are grateful for the day before going to bed. This will help you have a good night sleep with positive mind.

  1. Perform an act of kindness


Most of the time we are all very caught up with our own life and things that we are dealing with that makes us forget that kindness is also an important part that we must reflect in ourselves. Being kind to others is a habit that would definitely make everyone a better human being. There is no certain or specific act of kindness that one can do, but a lot of it. For example, you can be kind by just giving a genuine compliment to someone or smile at everyone you come across rather than avoiding them. Feed the street dog you always meet or water that plant you see is about to die. When you take a walk in the morning or evening, or sit and play a little in the mild sunshine, you stay fit and healthy. Be sure that you have included going outside as an important point in the list of healthy habits you need to practice. There is a lot of benefit of getting some sun every day. It has been proven that sunlight improves brain function, enhances sleep quality and also reduces the risk of getting certain cancers. So get up, and spend some time of your day in the sun.

As a student, you come in contact with hundreds of people throughout the day. And some people can be really influencing and inspiring. Try to make time and spend in their company where you can learn from them.
