We Help To Assemble Your Memories

If you are technologically savvy or simply very sentimental, you may be fortunate enough to possess some hidden 16mm film treasures. One of the original video film formats, 16mm film to DVD was projected on screens and was 16mm wide. Its history as one of the earliest widely used film formats makes digitising it a top priority for two reasons.

The film was initially used as a place to save personal recordings and films, but that function was never meant to be permanent. We think of it as a property from which, for your memories, eviction is imminent. Second, do you even have a projector that can be used? If not, do you know where to go immediately to find one? Didn’t think so.

It doesn't necessarily follow, though, that there is no chance of experiencing that timeless dose. Being one of the few film companies to have existed before 16mm was created, we are aware of the limitations of the technology and played a key role in its introduction. With our quick and easy digitizing process, we're here to help you save it right now.

In the early century, when the cinema industry was just getting started, 35mm film was the norm. There was a problem with the expensive and cumbersome equipment. Capturing moments on camera was a dream unless you had access to a film set and crew which, obviously, the normal family lacked. However, we had developed 16mm film to DVD as a less expensive amateur alternative to 35mm. Even though it may not have been overly impressed, the smaller and less expensive 16mm film opened doors that had previously been closed to home moviemakers, amateur photographers, educators, and businesses, such as being the only film used to record events. Even in the middle of the century, we ordered a 16mm Library, which became one of the first "buy or rent" film models and contributed to the popularity of the format as well as other upcoming film formats.

Our services

16mm was a safer format than 35mm, in addition to all the other doors in the industry opening. Its film basis was made of acetate, as opposed to 35mm film, which had a foundation and was therefore very flammable. It doesn't matter how great the lesson was the life of your 16mm film is going to end, but only if you allow it. Instead, let our team of knowledgeable film experts convert your analog film to digital format, either to DVD, a flash drive, or the cloud. Tens of thousands of feet of 16mm film are converted each day at our facilities, and we take great care to ensure that every frame is crystal clear, beautifully coloured, and presented. We might even learn that a portion of your 16mm film included unidentified sound. We'll even provide you with updates as things develop to keep you updated at all times. Once the conversion process is complete, we'll send your original reels back along with the new digital formats.
