Tourism – Not a Footnote Industry Anymore

India’s cultural wealth, diversity of trade basket and socio-economic diversity has always been a case study that travellers have strived to experience and document.

It is a pity that we were unable to harness the economic potential of tourism and equip the sector with tools that would enable bolster its growth and make it an industry to reckon with.

However, there has been a discernable shift in the sector since Prime Minister Narendra Modi, known to be a leader who believes entrepreneurial growth is the way forward, assumed office.

With a decade plus administrative experience as the Chief Minister of Gujarat behind him, the PM not only understands the challenges faced by conventional methods of addressing concerns of the tourism sector, but is also cognizant of the remedial measures for the same.
