5 Things you Should Keep in Mind Before your Next International Trip

Traveling Internationally is exciting and also a big responsibility as it requires a lot of preparations which we should be done beforehand.

So here is a checklist of 5 things which you should keep in mind before your next International Trip:

1. Check Travel Warnings: Yes it may seem daunting at first but it's essential to know which countries are safe to travel. Find out whether the government has issued any warning for countries with dangerous environments or any short term conditions that may have a threat to travelers. This is an important point to look for as your safety matters first.

2. Get Vaccinations and Prescriptions: Before traveling internationally it's important to make sure that you are healthy. For that, you must have all your checkups, vaccinations or prescriptions beforehand. This is important as most countries check health reports before issuing you a Visa.

2. Beware of Fake Travel Agencies: These days there are ample travel agencies that are fake, they promise us with the best packages and other services but often they turn us down with their promise. So for this, it's important to make sure that you are contacting an IATA i.e (International Air Travel Association) accredited Travel Agency. Search for IATA agencies in your city. Like IATA accredited Travel Agency in Pune etc. This will keep you away from any kind of scam.

3. Make sure your Passport and Visa are up to Date: Many countries require your passport to be valid for six months after your returning date. So it's better to renew your passport in no less than nine months before it expires. You can contact Visa Agency in your location like Visa Agency in Pune etc.

It takes up to six weeks to proceed with your passport application. In case you want your passport urgently then there is an option available for issuing your visa early, but that requires an extra fee. Urgent Visa is issued in no less time than 2-3 weeks.

4. Register your Trip: Registering your trip becomes important when you are traveling to remote or outer areas. If you are a citizen of the US then you can register online and fill your itinerary. Registering your trip enables the government to contact you and know your location in that country in case of any emergency. Registration is free so you can register your trip and ensure your safety.

6. Buy Travel Insurance: For saving our money we often ignore to buy travel insurance while traveling. But it's necessary for you and other members who are traveling with you. It is likely that your health insurance won’t cover you while you’re traveling abroad. Consider buying medical evacuation and emergency medical insurance before traveling abroad. As this will provide you protection from the unexpected.
