Bollywood is known to be the land of glamour and land of money, the cine industry has spent tons of money over several songs. Several songs are known to us for its music, but here it is for its money spent over.

 

1. Dola Re Dola (Devadas)

Sanjay Leela Bhansali spent over 2.5 crores over the song Dola re Dola from Devdas. He is prominently known for his magnificent sets and directory. The song was starring the most iconic actress of those times, Aishwarya and Madhuri, giving their most cherish-able performance. We still do, don't we?

 

2. Azeem O Shaan Shahenshah (Jodha Akbar)

This song was legendary as it had depicted the old times' style and they spent over 2.5 crores just for the song. The song getting choreographed by Chinni Prakash, it was shot with 400 trained dancers, 2000 side artists. There were lots of travel expenses as 350 dancers traveled to Karjat from Mumbai daily.

 

3. Chammak Chalo (Ra-one)

Featuring Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor dressed in traditional attire and background of dancers with western costumes, gave out the Grammy-winning singer Akon's way into Bollywood. The song was shot in a Yash Raj studio for 3 crores in total sum.

 

4. Kilimanjaro (Robot)

Director Shankar did a great job all over this movie giving out the actors of the decade, Aishwarya and Rajnikanth, a duet song in the actual Kilimanjaro Mount, Machu Picchu in Peru. It is known for being the first Indian video to be pictured at the Inca site. The song was shot for a total sum of 4 crores, again, just this one song.

 

5. Party All Night (Boss)

Movie starring with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, this song gave out to be a blockbuster along with Honey Singh, singing this song for the movie. The location of the song was in a pub in Bangkok with 600 foreign dancers, and yeah, now the song's fame has given its reward. This song was shot for 6 crores, debuting to be the highest amount spent over a song.

 

6. Malang (Dhoom 3)

Starring Katrina Kaif and Amir Khan in the Dhoom series, giving out a great twist from the usual Dhoom movie series that starred Hrithik Roshan, costs our directors a fortune as this song was shot for 5 crores, in the sets of Yash Raj Studios. The dancers and costumes were imported from the USA and there was even a training camp for 20 days for the song to be shot.

 

As you have seen in our times, there is a song, from the 60s too, called Pyar Kiya Toh Darna kya from Mughal-E-Azam, which may look like the song from Bajirao Mastani, was shot for 1 lakh in 1960s. Those times, 1 lakh was looked at as 6 crores now for the party all night. Now we all have witnessed why our Bollywood is known to be the land of money and glamour.
