Why take a trip to Norway?

Norway offers a beautiful, varied landscape, which delights tourists with unforgettable views all year round and makes an indescribable return.

Short on Norway (Official Kingdom of Norway)

Norway is a country in Northern Europe, whose territory extends to the north and west of the Scandinavian Peninsula. It also includes coastal islands such as Svalbard, Bouvet Island, Lofoten, Vesteralen and Jan Mayen. The capital of Norway is Oslo. It borders with Sweden, has much shorter borders with Finland, Russia. The country also has a sea border (through the Skagerrak) with Denmark. Norway is a mountainous country, with vast plateaux called the hills. Glaciers have been preserved in the highest parts of the plateaux.

Landscape

Norway offers a beautiful, varied landscape, which delights tourists with unforgettable views all year round and makes an indescribable return. One of the must-see points of the trip are the characteristic Norwegian fjords, i.e. long, narrow sea bays, squeezing far inland, between soaring mountains and, with a bit of luck, polar aurora over the fjords.

The western part of the country is an ideal place for hiking on mountain trails, glacier walks and bicycle trips. A popular form of excursions is a boat trip along Norwegian fjords. This gives you the opportunity to visit coastal settlements, eat local food and enjoy the crisp, arctic air.

List of travellers

- Geiranger - the King of Fjords - is a narrow and steep Geirangerfjord, a true business card and symbol of Norway;
- Oslo, the capital city above the fjord;
- The Jotunheimen Mountains - enchanting with their austere beauty are the most visited mountain range;
- Lofoten - islands behind the Arctic Circle, with mountains rising straight from the sea, sandy beaches and turquoise sea;

- Nordkapp - North Cape, with high cliffs and cold waters of the Arctic Ocean;
- Troll Road - a mountain road, one of Norway's biggest tourist attractions, is an iron point of most trips;
- Arctic Svalbard - for those thirsty for the north, a place to watch whales and polar bears;
- The Flåmsbana Railway - l the railway line along the steep Flåm Valley is considered a masterpiece of engineering.

To sum up,

Norway offers tourists unique views: mountains, waterfalls, glaciers, fjords, charming fishing villages, which create a unique climate of the country.
