Wales will host a friendly match against Austria in Euro Cup 2020

Euro Cup 2020 is a football competition that is played from March 2019 to March 2020 to decide the 24 national UEFA associate teams that will qualify for the final of Euro Cup 2020. Football fans from around the world can purchase Euro 2020 Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Wales will begin preparations for Euro 2020 with a home match against Austria on March 27. The location will be decided at a later date as Austria returns to Wales for the first time since losing a 1-0 World Cup qualifier in Cardiff in September 2017.

"The Wales Football Association is pleased to announce that the national men's team will play a friendly match against Austria on Friday, March 27, 2020," said an FAW announcement.

"It’s maybe the Cymru's first preparation match of the year before the Euro Cup 2020 finals in June where they will face Switzerland, Turkey and Italy in Group A."

A FAW handing over is currently in Azerbaijan, where Wales will meet Turkey and Switzerland in their first two games of Euro 2020 before playing against Italy in Rome.

The FAW is considering potential training bases in the capital Baku before their opening match of the pan-European tournament on June 13. The match will be part of Ryan Giggs' preparations for the Euro 2020 final in June, against Switzerland, Turkey, and Italy in Group A.

The Football Association of Wales (FAW) has not yet announced the location of the match, which according to the Austrian FA will start at 19.45 GMT. Austria also qualified for the finals next summer which will be held across Europe.

The Austrians will be in a group with Ukraine, the Netherlands and a country to be determined after the Nations League qualifiers in March.

Wales automatically qualified for next summer's tournament when two goals from Aaron Ramsey claimed a 2-0 win over Hungary in November to finish second in Croatia in Group E.

Wales qualified for Euro 2020 as Aaron Ramsey marked his return to the team with two goals to inspire a joyful 2-0 victory over Hungary. Ramsey, who started this campaign for the first time, headed out from the center of Gareth Bale in the first half to fuel a carnival atmosphere at a Cardiff City stadium.

Austria finished second behind Poland in Group G. Wales hosted Austria for the last time in Cardiff during the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign when a solo strike by Ben Woodburn allowed Chris Coleman to win 1-0.

Under Coleman, Wales reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016, the only previous occasion where it qualified for the great summer showcase of Europe.
