Holidays as a cure for stress

Each of us has repeatedly experienced its negative symptoms, such as tiredness, nervousness, trouble sleeping and concentration, irritation, headaches and even anxiety. We often try to combat these symptomatic relaxation with tablets, alcohol and other so-called "fast methods". However, such actions bring short-term relief and their help is only apparent. It is very dangerous to ignore stress. But many of us are not aware of it. We often ignore the signals that our body sends out when overloaded with stress, hoping that one day it will pass. However, this hope is illusory. It usually gets worse with time.

Chronic stress leads to many serious diseases, not only physical but also mental. Stress causes, among others: accelerated heart rate, increased blood pressure and many other physiological and biochemical changes, which are very unfavourable for us in the long run. In addition, stress also affects the change in our breath, which under its influence becomes faster and repaid, which in turn leads to hypoxia. However, chronic stress most severely impairs our mental functions. Under its influence we have problems with memory, speech, concentration and logical thinking, and there are problems with emotions and sexual drive.

Excessive stress can poison our lives, the lives of our loved ones and everyone around us. But it doesn't have to be like this. There are many ways and means of fighting stress and getting rid of its effects. We can give ourselves into the hands of specialists and fight stress by means of e.g. reflexology, acupressure, hypnosis or aromatherapy, or by taking appropriate medicines. However, not all of us can afford the help of professionals. We can also fight the stress ourselves. The choice is ours!

The ideal method of fighting stress is a holiday trip. In fact, it is covered by what direction we choose, whether it is a trip to the sea, the mountains or a city - it doesn't matter in the least. All you have to do is feel good in a given place. So if you don't like the mountains, don't go there for a holiday, even if statistically it's the best place to relax. Acting against your own taste, you will not be able to relax and unwind.

Once you have chosen the right place for you, follow two basic rules. First of all, be positive about the trip, think in terms of the holiday you're dreaming of. There is nothing more power to overcome stress than positive thinking. Secondly, plan everything and prepare yourself for the trip. This in turn will allow you to avoid stressful situations and enjoy a full summer holiday. It is also best to turn off your phone and under no circumstances should you take your laptop with you. Such a break from the Internet and media will do us great. After all, the holiday is to relax and have fun.

Summer trips allow us to break away from everyday life and problems, which are in fact all stressful situations. The change of environment perfectly affects our psyche and nervous system. They allow us to gain distance and a fresh look at many issues. Away from all issues and responsibilities, we can finally fully relax and relax. Everything during the holiday is allowed. Many of us do things during the holidays that they would never dare to do in their everyday lives. And that's the point.

When we return from our holiday, we will feel a surge of energy, strength and, most importantly, we will be more resistant to stressful situations. Holiday trips do not have to last very long. We are also not obliged to go to Cuba or other exotic countries to fight stress. It can also be a week-long trip to a neighbouring country or even a weekend trip to Masuria, for example. It all depends on how much money we intend to spend on them and how long the holiday we have at our disposal. The most important thing is to change the environment and forget about everyday life.

It's up to you to choose what form of stress fighting you will take. The most important thing is just to take any action and not let the stress destroy you!
