Samsung All Set to Launch a Samsung Pay Debit Card

Samsung is all set to launch the Samsung Pay Debit card in partnership with SoFi

Samsung is planning to expand its financial services with the release of a card called Samsung Debit card. Sang Ahn has announced the news of launching the new Samsung Debit card in a blog post of the company. Sang Ahn, who has announced the report, is the general manager and vice president of Samsung Pay in North America. Ahn said the company is going to launch the card with a personal finance company SoFi. Also, the Samsung Debit card will be backed up and supported by a cash management account. For the viewers, you are not aware of the cash management card; it is a cash account combining the features and services very much similar to savings, checking, and investment accounts under a single product. Non-banking financial services often provide cash management card.

Ahn has also made it clear to the users that the company is working hard to develop a platform called mobile-first money management. However, Sang Ahn has refrained from giving many details about the features to be evolved in the money management platform. Also, he didn’t say much about the features and services of the new Samsung Pay Debit card going to release. But, he said that the company would share more and more details regarding the features of both upcoming products in a few weeks. Meanwhile, Samsung has joined its hands with Apple to offer its users a payment card, which will be branded. The Apple card launched by Apple in the year 2019 in August is a credit card that was issued in collaboration with Goldman Sachs. The Apple card works as both a digital card and a titanium card, which could be put in the wallet along with using it through Apple Pay. You can use it on your Apple Watch and iPhone while tracking your spending inside the wallet app of iOS on the Apple card.

Amidst all, it has been reported that Google is also working to develop a smart debit card to help the customers in making and tracking purchases made in stores and online. Google is working on its new project in partnership with Stanford Federal Credit Union and Citi. Also, it is planning to expand its services to some other payment processors such as MasterCard. The debit card designed by Google will provide a virtual card number for its users, which could be utilized by them with online purchasing. The new debit card of Google will work like a physical, digital card through which payments could be made by tapping on it on the phone. The expanded features of the debit card designed by Google will help the users to keep track of their purchases and payments. Also, it will provide the company a valuable insight regarding the spending of the customers. Meanwhile, the recent announcement of launching a Samsung Pay Debit card has been made by the North America branch of Samsung Pay. So it remains to see whether the service will be available in every market or only in North America.
