Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) - Novusimmigration ca

This Pilot Program is a one-stop shop program for four provinces i.e. Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island. This program is useful to employers who are looking to employ foreign nationals when they are unable to find domestic skilled workers. It also helps the Canadian Government in achieving their goals of aiding population growth, creating a skilled workforce and increasing employment rates.

 

There are 3 programs under Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program, for each of these programs you must meet the necessary educational, language proficiency and work experience requirements along with sufficient funds and a valid job offer.

 

1) Atlantic Immigration Graduation Program – Applicants under this program must have a degree from an accredited public institution in the Atlantic province. He/she must’ve resided in the province for 16 months for the 2 years before receiving his/her degree. Language and financial requirements have to be met but work experience is not required.

2) Atlantic High-Skilled Program – For this program, applicants who have worked under management, professional job or technical/skilled job for at least a year are eligible, these hours can be put in inside or outside of Canada. A Canadian high school diploma or an equivalent education from another country as well as a minimum language proficiency of CLB 4.

3) Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program – The applicant must have completed a full time one-year work experience in any country. Their job skill must come under skill level “C” as per NOC specifications. Skill type “C” jobs usually require secondary education, job-specific training and a minimum language proficiency of CLB 4.

Since the program is targeted at new workers who are ready to begin working immediately on arrival, having a valid full time job offer is an absolute must. It must be from a designated employer and a certificate of endorsement from the province is mandatory except for the Graduate program. The AIPP aims at those who aren’t eligible under the Express Entry program and possess the required skill-level.
