Community Day in Pokémon Go is the day that players love the most. August month Community Day includes Magikarp and Niantic finally announced it. Catching shiny Magikarp or shiny Gyarados is rare, but this upcoming Community Day will fulfil the wishes of numerous players. August Community day will feature golden tinted shiny Magikarp, and the shiny Gyarados will be red. Gyarados is a powerful Pokémon but hard to get, but on August 8, players will have the chance to catch tons of Magikarp and Gyarados. Additionally, players can also get Gyarados with Aqua Tail move, but it will be available for a limited period of time.
How to Gyarados with Aqua Tail
Aqua Tail is the exclusive move of Gyarados, and this can be part of your Gyarados as well. However, there is a specific timestamp that you need to follow. On the August Community Day, you need to evolve your Magikarp in Gyarados during the event or two hours afterwards. If you evolve your Magikarp within the timeframe, you will not miss Gyarados with the Aqua Tail move.
Evolving Gyarados is not as simple as it looks because players have to collect 400 candies for evolving one Magikarp into Gyarados. When a player catches a Magikarp, they get three additional candies, which means you need to catch at least 133 Magikarp to get Gyarados. If you don’t get to evolve your Magikarp in the specific time; unfortunately, you will miss the Aqua Tail move.
Magikarp Community Day Bonuses
Players don’t have to wait longer for August Community Day, because it is happening on August 8. During the six-hour period, the Magikarp will be available everywhere in your area. If you use lucky egg and incense, you will get double XP and Magikarp quickly. Using this procedure will let you collect a huge amount of candies in a short period of time. However, with the Magikarp, you will get a few more bonuses like:
- Incense will last for three hours.
- 3x catch stardust.
- “Making a Splash” a “Special Research” story.
- Event “Field Research” tasks.
A majority of trainers have been waiting for this type of Community Day, and finally, it’s arriving soon. Magikarp is not very useful, but Gyarados is a big deal for the trainers. Gyarados is a powerful Pokémon but requires 400 candies to evolve.
