Tips to Become a Successful Vlogger in 2020

As marketing and public relations professionals, we constantly think about what else we can do for our clients. We look for ways to make our clients better thought leaders or to create new content for marketing purposes.

Why not help some clients start a vlog? A vlogger is a profession in which one creates a video on a specific topic and then posts it to a video sharing platform like YouTube.

  1. Determine the niche and research

When determining your niche, you need to consider your interest and your potential to attract a reasonable audience.

This will ensure that your entire audience, and yourself, will enjoy every video you created and shared.

After determining your niche, you need to research your potential competitor with the same niche.

You need to know what works for them and what doesn't. This will be your guide to getting it right every time and avoiding making the mistakes you might experience.

  1. Create a channel on any video sharing platform and understand how it works.

When everything is set up, you should create your own video channel. There are several video sharing platforms out there today, choose the one you think best suits your interests and abilities.

Also, take the time to familiarize yourself with how it works for a smooth and organized process.

  1. Create a video

Once you have a channel, the next thing to do is create the video. First is your camera, then make sure the videos are:

Informative, well researched and original. People research the internet for answers, so make sure your video content is useful and true. Put a bit of humor in it so that your audience is also entertained.

Also, always be original. Remember, nobody likes copycats. Use grammar and plagiarism check tools to ensure authenticity.

Use the recommended video format and settings for your videos. Make it mobile friendly too to expand your visibility to your audience.

Include a call to action. When people love your channel, they will surely ask for more. A call to action is your way of convincing them to come back and watch more videos.

Provide an HTML link to give your audience the convenience of sharing it on your site or social media.

Include your URL in your video so your audience easily knows where to find it.

Ask and answer questions. People will always have questions, so be sure to include the most frequently asked questions on your topic in your video. This will help your audience easily understand your topic.

  1. Optimize your videos and get discovered

Video optimization is a way for the video sharing platform to discover your content and give it the attention it deserves.

In order for this to happen, be sure to include all the important factors in your video, such as the title, file name, tags, and descriptions.

  1. Post regularly

To keep your audience hooked on your channel, you need to make sure you stay active and post more engaging videos.

  1. Interact with your audience in the comment section.

Vlogging is all about building a relationship with your audience and the comment section is the best part of your channel where you can effectively interact with them. Take advantage of it.
