Pune based CCP Enterprise is Helping Indian Industries to Step up Waste Water Management

With the rapid industrial development, environmental degradation has also reached an alarming level. Nearly 80% of urban and untreated industrial waste is dumped and effluents are discharged into water bodies wreaking havoc on the environment. Pune based CCP Enterprise is a wastewater management company that manufactures wastewater treatment equipment and primarily supplies to all the industries not just within the country but globally.

Speaking to Machine Maker, Pravin Raut, the CEO, and MD of CCP Enterprises shares how acute the challenge is. He says, “In this consumerist society waste will always be produced. We were producing waste yesterday, we are producing it today and maybe the future is far worse.” The growth of the waste management industry is the actual index of how alarming the situation is.

Make in India drive
“Even though after the reduction in the workforce for the last four to five months in the operations, things have been a little slow in the front of operations, things have started picking pace,” says Pravin. In all this chaos and fear for the pandemic, the market situation for all the industries is changing with the Make in India drive. “The scheme is going to help India on a large scale because it will ensure that the talent of the country is not being exploited outside the country without due credits,” says Mr. Raut. According to him, under this drive, if India succeeds in setting up and supporting the manufacturing industry of the country, the Indian industries will not have to depend on the foreign countries for bulk imports.

Vocal for Local
According to Pravin, it is crucial for the country to start valuing the existing manpower resources of the country so that the country does not require external resources or create a source of exploitation for such resources. “Instead of waiting for the government to take actions and impose laws to go vocal for the locals, it should come to the entrepreneurs from within,” says Raut.

He says the Vocal for Local is a great initiative but the complete independence to the domestic market is depending on the government aids and conserving the resources. To shape the reality of localized products Indian government requires to aid the startups, come up with subsidiaries, and financial help in developing new technologies and innovations which is directly pointing to the scopes of the education system which is facing a lot of controversies recently.
