What is the Method To Issue Command to Endpoint in Webroot? - webroot.com/safe

Way To Issue Command to Endpoint:

First, from the Endpoint console you need to tap on the Group Management tab. Now, the Group Management tab appears on your computer screen. Then in the Groups column, you need to select the group which contains the endpoints for which you want to issue commands to. Here, in the Endpoints panel you should do one of the following in order to display information about an endpoint:

You should select the checkbox which is next to the one endpoint. Or you should select the checkbox which is at the top of the Checkbox column.

The description of each command are as follows:

  • Agent Commands:

Scan :

In this, the user can run a Deep scan in the background when endpoint receives the command. After the scan completes, the Scan History panel gives you the results for a Deep scan. And this command runs on both PC and Mac endpoints.

Change Scan Time:

In this, you can select a new time of day in order to scan the endpoint.

Scan a folder:

In this, you can runs a full or file-by-file scan on a specific folder. You have to enter the full path name.

On a Windows system, you have to enter:

On a Mac system, you have to enter:

Clean up:

It helps to start a scan and it also automatically quarantine malicious files.

System Optimizer:

Uninstall:

With this, you can uninstall SecureAnywhere from the endpoint.

Reset:

It helps to return SecureAnywhere settings on the endpoint to their default values.

Remove password protection:

It helps to disable password protection from the endpoint user's control that allows administrators to gain access to the endpoint if in case they are locked out.

Showgui:

It shows you the UI if policy allows for it.

Silentscan:

It performs a silent scan if the scan UI will not be presented to the user.

  • Clear Data Command:

Clear files:

It helps to erase current log files which will free up space on the endpoint.

Disable proxy settings:

It helps to disable any proxy settings which the endpoint user set on the endpoint.

  • Keycode Command:

Change Keycode:

It helps to enter a different keycode.

Change Keycode Temporarily:

With this, you can change the keycode used for this endpoint temporarily, which is used for testing purposes.

There are other commands like File and Process Command, Identity Shield Command and Advanced Command.

If the user wants to see the status of commands which you sent, then from the Agent Command menu, you can select View commands for selected endpoints. And if the user wants to review the Command Log, then in the main Endpoint Protection console, you have to click on the Logs tab.
