There’s a new Five Nights at Freddy’s Game out, and it’s a beat-em-up.
Available for free at GameJolt, Security Breach: Fury’s Rage is a side-scrolling fighting game that, while not as long as Streets of Rage 4, is kind of fun and, on top of that, it’s free.
But it’s not some fan project; this is an official Five Nights at Freddy’s Game, released by series creator Scott Cawthon. He’s put the game out as a stop-gap after announcing Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach has been delayed till later this year. Security Breach was originally going to arrive early 2021 but that’s not going to happen.
Will this tide Five Nights fans over? Probably, yes. Not because it’s a particularly substantial game, though it does have a hidden level. No, you can expect followers of Five Nights at Freddy’s to spend hour upon hour digging through the game in an effort to expand on the series lore. You can bet that someone, somewhere will read way too much into every single character and boss in the game.
But, even if you’re not a Five Nights lore hunter, it’s entertaining enough to be worth a few minutes of your time.
