Fish Curry Recipe

Fish curry recipe is a kind of daily food of Bengalis. Bengalis need fish curry with rice at noon.

Ingredients:

Fish - 500 gms (Ruhu, Katla, Mirgel)

For marinade-

Bason - 2 tbsp

Kashmiri chilli - 1 tbsp

Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Salt - 1 tsp

Lemon juice - 1 tbsp

refined oil - 2 tbsp

Water - 400 ml

 

How to make onion and tomato paste -

Onion (200 gm), Ginger (9 gm), Garlic - 5-6 Pieces (9 gm), Tomato - 2 pieces (200 gm)

 

Spice powder-

Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon

Chilli powder-1 tsp

Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon

Kashmiri chilli - 1 tbsp

Cumin Powder - 3/4 tsp

Other materials:

Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp

Raw chilli - 3 pieces

Musk fenugreek - 2 tbsp

refined oil - 6 tablespoons

According to the amount of salt

Coriander leaves - 4 tbsp

 

Marination method-

In a bowl add 1 tbsp gram flour, 1 tbsp cashmere chilli, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp lemon juice, 2 tsp refined oil and 4 tsp water. Make a paste and put the fish in it for 30 minutes.

 

Techniques for making onion and tomato paste-

Mix well with 200 g onion, 2 pistachios, 9 g ginger and 8 cloves garlic and make a paste.

When the oil is heated on a low flame with 100 grams of refined oil, the marinated fish should be fried for 7-8 minutes one by one. Then take out the fish and add 2 teaspoons of oil to it. Add 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds, 3 pieces of raw chilli powder and stir for 2 minutes. . Then add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon chilli powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli, 3/4 teaspoon cumin powder, salt and 1 cup water to the mixture and fry it for 4-5 minutes. You have to notice if the oil has floated on top. Then mix well with 400 ml of water and let the fish boil on low heat for 10 minutes with the lid on. Then open the lid and spread 2 teaspoons of musk fenugreek and mix well. After boiling for 2 minutes, spread 4 teaspoons of chopped coriander leaves. Turn off the heat for 5-10 minutes and serve. The fish curry is ready.
