Great New Fallout 2 Mods

The popularity of Fallout 2 has practically guaranteed that there will be a lot of Fallout 2 mods out on the market. Many of them have already been created by modders and they are being spread all over the internet. Of course, this also means that there are a lot of really bad mods floating around which you may find while playing the game. So what are some of the most reliable ones out there? Here's a list of some of them:

Courier mods

One of the most important among the list of Fallout 2 mods is Courier mods. This has something to do with the nature of the Courier and how he or she ends up becoming a sought-after courier in the game. Fallout 2's story is set in post-apocalyptic America after nuclear war, when America has fallen to post-apocalyptic chaos. Settlements have been destroyed, technology has been left behind in the post-apocalyptic wastes, and everyone is struggling to survive. The courier's role in this post-apocalyptic world is very important, because in this game you need to make a living.

Guns Mod

This modifies weapons handling in several ways, such as reducing their firing speed and aiming accuracy by two-thirds. Furthermore, the mod improves the handling and accuracy of many other melee weapons as well. Also, this mod adds new vault spaces and makes settlements easier to access. This is the most popular mod among players, but there are still many more that can be found and downloaded from the internet. New Vegas and Caesar's Camp are two of the most popular locations to fight the infamous Caesar. This mod is also included in the New Vegas Ultimate Edition.

Skill Dex

This is a simple but effective Fallout 2 mod that changes the character creation process by allowing the player to choose an appropriate skill from a list instead of picking every skill at the same time. This means that players can spend a little more time levelling up their characters rather than spending on skill points. The skilldex also provides you with a list of all the skills you have so that you can see which ones are useful and which ones are completely useless (you probably aren't using them anyway). The skilldex can be used along with the aesthetic redux to improve your experience in the game.

No More Stuck On Map

This mod allows you to move around the world without having to get stuck on a map. It does this by updating your game's data so that you move around the world without having to resort to using a high-resolution patch. You can move to different areas of the map and see the difference immediately. No More Stuck On Map is extremely easy to use, and has been updated for the latest version of Fallout 2. The mod doesn't have all of the features available on the high-resolution patch, but it's still a great improvement over the way it used to work.

Alternate Start

When you start a new game in Fallout 2, you're usually in a small town. However, if you want to travel to other areas, you have to start the game again, right? Not anymore. With Alternate Start, you can easily go back to any location you was at before using the warp method. It doesn't matter how many times you've saved your game - the Alternate Start mod will take you there without restarting. The only glitch is that you can only travel to new locations when you have the mod installed.

Better Quest Dialog

Another great addition to the Fallout 2 mods is the quest dialogues. The problem with many quests in the base game is that they don't tell you what to do until you have reached a specific point in the quest. Sometimes you can run into a problem where you'll have to wait for a scripted sequence to complete, and then you'll get stuck on a certain action. These mods solve this problem by automatically completing all quests in the game, so you won't have to wait for an object to be placed or another quest to trigger.

Gaining Experience

One of the most popular mods in the base game is the perk tree. The problem with the perk tree is that it doesn't give you enough XP to level up quickly enough. That's where F2G comes in. This mod adds new perks to the perk tree, increasing experience gained by 100%. It also adds new crafting resources and makes the settlement items carry more weight, so they'll carry more loot when you're actively searching for items.
