In 1952, U.S. Douglas created OXO, a noughts and crosses graphic game, at the University of Cambridge to demonstrate his thesis on computer-human interaction. The game works on large computers that use CRT displays. In fact, the first handheld portable gaming device made was the Tic Tac Toe in 1972 by the Waco Company. Until now this 'old school' game is still popular on the internet. If we look back, 1947 is believed to be the first year in which games were designed to be played on a CRT (cathode ray tube) screen. Simple game designed by Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann.

This application was granted a patent on December 14, 1948. His system consisted of 8 vacuum tubes and simulated a bullet fired at a target, inspired by the radar displays of World War II. It is believed that this is the first system specifically designed for gaming on CRT screens.

Many say that the inventor of video games was William Higinbotham. 1958 created the game Tennis for Two on an oscilloscope. This game features a simple tennis court viewed from the side..

In 1972 the first video game device for the home market was released, the Magnavox Odyssey, connected to a television. Although not a huge success, other companies with the same product had to pay for a license. However, success has picked up since Atari launched Pong, a ping-pong video game on November 29, 1972. From here, video and computer games became popular and new hobbies at a time when PCs were just beginning to be known and widely used. VariousBestGameplay
