How to choose successful optics for the car?

Your own safety on the roads depends first of all on the right choice of car optics (brake lights, reversing lights, lights, headlights, fog lights, cornering lights, etc.), because it is these auto optics that provide high-quality road lighting. Therefore it is strongly recommended to buy lighting devices for your vehicle only from the certified manufacturers!

The system of automotive optics (automotive lighting) consists of signaling and lighting fixtures whose function is to illuminate the road and your own car in as much detail as possible. Therefore, such optics are installed on different sides of the vehicle (rear, front, sides and even top).

For example, headlights guarantee the driver visibility of the car and the road in the dark. Automotive signal lights are reassigned to transmit the necessary information to other road users who show exactly in what direction the vehicle is moving and in what speed mode it is in.

The brightness of the light emitted by the optics is to a large extent standardized. The basic principles of its characteristics are laid down in detail in the UN Convention on Road Traffic. In a nutshell: as a rule, cornering lights and side indicators should emit amber-yellow light, front headlights should emit white light and reversing lights should emit red light.

Headlights for low and high beam

All automobile manufacturers pay special attention to the vehicle's front lighting system, which includes the high and low beam headlights.

The dipped beam headlights are located on the front of the vehicle. They are designed to provide adequate intensity of illumination of the roadway in front of the moving vehicle. The brightness function of the instruments is designed not to dazzle oncoming traffic. The UNECE sets regulations for asymmetrical cut-off and sharpness for all automotive headlamp standards. This is done to protect drivers' eyes from too intense light from the flow of oncoming traffic.
