The SDG's: How far have we gone achieving them?

Here is an excerpt from the course: Sustainable world on FUNZI.

Full access to the free course: https://funzi.mobi/course/sustainable-world

"The role your city plays in the effort of maintaining and improving the environment is essential in many ways. Most importantly, this is because the mitigation of greenhouse emissions and the stopping of environmental degradation has to take place wherever people carry out their daily lives. The fact is, the way most of us live our lives, the decisions we make every day tend to do more harm than good to the environment.

Sustainable development has been defined in many ways. The idea is that development should meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Achieving sustainable development requires that we no longer carry out "business as usual" at the expense of the natural environment. Unless we start working together to drastically achieve sustainable development, the future generations’ world will look a lot different than ours - a world where resources will be much more scarce than they are today."

The course practically explains the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, previous efforts aimed at achieving this goals and how we can presently act locally to achieve the common global goal.

This course comes highly recommended to everyone. And guess what? It comes with a FREE DIGITAL CERTIFICATE too!
