Homeschooling Is a Fun Teach Your Own

Homeschooling Is a Fun When You Teach Your Own

Introduction:

Homeschooling isn’t a new idea or concept. Many years ago people choose to tutor their kids at home instead of sending them to school. Due to Covid-19 parents preferd homeschooling as a solution. Homeschooling is a progressive movement around the world and mostly parents educate their children at home.

Homeschooling started growing in 1970s. Some famous authors and researchers like Dorothy, Raymond Moor and Jhon Holt , they wrote about the educational reforms. They suggested homeschooling as an alternative educational option.

Better Relationships:

The most important thing is for parents to teach their children and enjoy their company, their energy, their foolishness and physical presence. Parents can understand well about the educational needs, interest of their children. They can do their best educational efforts to their children and it allows to build a good relations between them.

Organize The Day:

Homeschoolers can organize the day according to their convenience. Most of start their school early in the morning and some start in the evening. Some children get excited about some science activities before bed. So it's up to parents what timings are suitable for their children.

Teaching Methods:

Parents are free to choose the teaching methods which are more interesting like flipped classroom,inquiry-based learning,problem-based learning, personalized learning,role-playing,student-centered learning, formative assessment and audio-lingual method. They can blend ideas or methods of teaching that best meet their children’s need. Homeschooling is increasing day by day and that's why there’s a wide variety of available curricula and resources. Subjects are typically taught with standard disciplines followed in a traditional school.

Ken Robinson writes in his best selling book The Element, “ The key to transformation is not to standardize education but to personalize it to build achievement on discovering the individual talents of each child to put students in an environment where they want to learn and where they can naturally discover their true passions.”

A homeschool provides a natural setting in which parents can deliver an individualized method of instruction that matches the child’s interest, learning style and ability. In homeschooling children can progress according to their own temperament and they make their own timetable for them. In homeschooling if a parent is ill he/she could still supervise the child’s work.

Flexibility In Timings:

In classroom there’s just one teacher for 20 or more children and the teacher also has a restricted time for each class and many children get left behind. In homeschooling parents can focus on each child individually and they can easily change teaching timings according to the child’s need. Parents can discuss on sensitive topics with their children any time when they feel they are ready for it. It’s better that they learn from their parents instead of learning from someone else.

Be Creative:

In homeschooling parents can create new fun activities according to their child’s interest and the child will learn definitely at fast speed. There are thousands of games children can play to exercise their brain, including the following tests like cards games to match pairs, watch and tell, feel and tell etc. Learning can be fun if children have enough time to enjoy the activity and have proper attention and guideline. Parents can arrange the activities in the house or outside the house like in a park or some other places. Parents can enjoy the learning period of their children with them and parents can revise their own childhood’s school activities with their children and can enjoy them again with their children.

Save Money:

Homeschooling is a good idea to teach your own children and save money. In a public school parents pay all sorts of fees like monthly fees, activity fees. Then there’s a cost of participating in extra curriculer activities and some incidental costs like school trips. In homeschooling parents can save money from all these expenditures.

Follow Some Steps:

And the last thing is parents should follow some steps to make a better homeschool for their children like, prepare a lesson plan, break up lessons, offer choice, use technology, be creative, make a routine, plan field trips and use hands on activities. By following all things parents can be good teachers for their children and they can create a good and healthy learning environment at home.

Conclusion:

Homeschooling is a good idea and parents can enjoy the learning period of their children under their supervision. Homeschooling is more comfortable rather than a conventional school. Parents can build a strong bond with their children, parents enjoy all little things with them. It allows parents to protect their children from all the bad influences they might experience outside the home. Parents can understand their children very well and they know all about their children ,they know well which thing is more useful and important to make them learn in a better way. In day time or at nighttime parents can involve their children in some activities. They are free from time restrictions. So homeschooling is good for children and parents both. They can enjoy learning and teaching in a safe and happy environment.
