As part of the formation and promotion of the 10,000 Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) Scheme, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare published New Guidelines for the Farmer Producer Organization. According to the updated criteria, Cluster-Based Business Organizations must provide handholding for five years for FPOs registered under either the Companies Act, 2013, or the Cooperative Societies Act of the States (CBBOs). Additionally, the government offers equity grants and a credit guarantee fund to help FPOs. The scheme's main goal is to effectively strengthen the ability of FPOs to help them learn agro entrepreneurial skills so they may become self-sufficient and economically successful.
