Metaverse of Madness

If there’s one thing everyone today seems to be in a complete frenzy about, it’s the Metaverse. But why has it become a sudden topic of conversation everywhere? How is it managing to grab the attention of everyone on the planet- irrespective of age, occupation, and geographical distance? Let’s dive deep into the “Metaverse of Madness.

Why is everyone talking about the Metaverse?

The Metaverse will unify the world like never before. From helping teens beat loneliness and helping big and small businesses flourish, it will indeed be the place where everyone will be, without boundaries.

You can let your imagination go wild as it seems like the Metaverse is a sea of infinite, impossible-seeming ideas that will be brought to life.

With flashy avatars and the possibility of no more FOMO with social events and live performances, the Metaverse is also estimated to be the Rialto of future businesses, making it grab the attention of huge companies and big names in the business industry.

Banks and the Metaverse

With banks entering the Metaverse and offering alluring real-life services, it is highly expected that big companies are barging into the Meta-world next.

Banks in the Metaverse will have unique ways to engage with their customers- customers can speak to bankers, get advice, make investments, withdraw “money,” and use their VR headsets to view their account balance.

So now that the banks have broken into this whole new world, which companies follow?

Which companies have hopped onto the bandwagon of the Metaverse?

Airtel

Bharti Airtel recently became the first Indian company to have knocked on the Metaverse door. They announced a 20-screen multiplex in a Metaverse called “Partynite”. They also look to extend it to movies, music, live events, a “metaverse university”, and premium sports streaming, apparently completely eradicating FOMO in the future.

MG India

MG India launched its Metaverse, called the MGverse, making them the first automobile industry in the nation to do so. They will offer users various digital experiences and services like vehicle configuration, NFT (Non-fungible token), a digital car club, and more. They also aim to bring MG fans, customers, partners, and employees together to work, play, engage, collaborate, co-create, socialize, and shop under one platform.

Samsung US

Samsung intends to develop a tighter connection with its users as it steps into the Metaverse by launching Samsung US on discord. “The Samsung US Discord server is specially designed as a fun, interactive way for fans, gamers, and creators to interact and get exclusive access to products, events, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and other Web 3-based wonders,” states Samsung in a press release.

Adobe

Adobe introduced a new service in Adobe Analytics that would help brands unify data and insights across all media types, including the Metaverse and streaming media.

Vyshak Venugopalan, head of solution consulting, Adobe India, also said the digital economy in India is expected to be an $800 billion market by 2030.

Tata Consultancy Services

TCS is said to be engaging with Tata Group companies, such as Tanishq, Tata Motors, and Croma, to deploy Metaverse solutions. Tata group’s jewelry arm Tanishq recently launched its new collection in the Metaverse, where guests could try on bespoke pieces virtually, so even Metaverse weddings could possibly be a thing; who knows!

With tech giants, other massive companies, and even banks taking the lead in the race of the Metaverse, keeping an eye out is definitely worth it.
