My Entrepreneurship Story

When I typed the title, I remembered my first business venture (tossing around), about eight or nine years ago, when I traveled to Paris, France, because I liked vintage, I went to the local antique market. I bought a few antique brooches with my eyesight and preferences, but I didn’t expect that they would be snapped up in the Moments after I came back. Being grounded is a small business experience. Of course, I'm ashamed to say that I didn't make any money in the end.

It's a long journey from the antique jewelry studio to the day I started my own skincare brand, Youyan. To tell the truth, I envy those who found their own direction at a very young age, or who succeeded in their first startup. But after all, most people are ordinary people like me, maybe some idealistic, some ambitious, some ideas and vision. But hesitation, cowardice, timidity, self-doubt, and gullibility are all there. It is always necessary to go around, step on the pit, climb out of the pit, fail, succeed, and fail again, in order to create the dots that belong to you, and finally connect them all when the time is ripe to find your own. direction.

I am writing this today because I want to start my entrepreneurial story, and I want to talk to you about the stories I have struggled with over the years, the pits I have stepped on, the truths I have learned, and the friends I have met who have helped me. From the small antique shop "Paris 1960" to today's Youyan, I found that those experiences were not wasted.

Looking back now, the antique jewelry workshop is really a wonderful experience in life, most of which are happy moments, because buying goods is entirely based on one's own preferences, and there is no need to worry about the market at all, and it attracts customers with the same taste, said It's really not that much pressure.

In the beginning, we just wanted to find a new shopping mode. That's why we created jewerlykg, a wholesale jewelry website.Things went very smoothly, there were not many customers, but because the taste and aesthetics were close, there was no obstacle to communication. There is a big problem with making antique jewelry, that is, the products are 'old', especially the antique decorative jewelry, the material itself is not real gold and silver, and it has been at least thirty or forty years, and as many as seventy or eighty years. Over time, there will inevitably be some discoloration, rust, and diamond drop. For sellers, it is very troublesome to educate consumers, especially domestic consumers, many of them pursue 'new' and 'new'. So many sellers turn to selling brand new fake vintage. But I am very lucky, I have many high-quality customers who are very knowledgeable, and they don’t mind at all, because these traces of the years themselves are also the charm of antique jewelry. After the ravages of time, they are more beautiful and more connotative than when they were brand new.
