Progressive party does not always represent progressive ideals

Because they have lost their way, progressives misunderstand bitcoin.

Bitcoin is one such instance in which progressivism's ideals do not align with politics.

Deliberations about which political party is more naturally aligned with the orange ethos have proliferated and intensified as Bitcoin continues to infiltrate U.S. politics and policy. There have been a number of heated debates about how Bitcoin fits into the political left's ideology as a result of the increasing number of self-described

Progressives entering the market. Is Bitcoin a step forward? Is it not progressive at its core? Is it another thing? We should refine some of the partisan language and identifiers that frequently constrain our thinking in order to comprehend why these may not even be the appropriate questions and why many Progressives—though not all of them—appear to struggle with Bitcoin. Specifically, we need to separate capital "P" progressivism from lowercase "p" progressivism.

Although Bitcoin is said to be compatible with Progressive ideas, I am convinced that it ultimately transcends the stale, two-party model of American politics. Nevertheless, it is evident that Progressives' and the politically left-leaning cohort's skepticism persists and cannot be overcome.

What then is the issue here? Why do Progressives denigrate Bitcoin, a technology that substantially addresses many of their stated concerns and priorities? Several Bitcoiners, including myself, who have entered the space from the left have looked into this perplexing question. There is unquestionably an element of misunderstanding how money works and over-trusting the state's machinery, as well as an overestimation of its competence. However, I believe there are other issues that are discussed less frequently. I'd like to discuss a few of those ideas.
