Things to Know Stainless Steel 321 Plates

What are Stainless Steel 321 Plates?

Stainless Steel 321 Plates are an integral part of any commercial kitchen or industrial space. They are highly durable, rust-resistant, and extremely heat-resistant. They are made of a special grade of austenitic stainless steel which contains a minimum of 18% chrome, 8% nickel, and a small amount of titanium. It offers excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion compared to other stainless steel. It is also highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking and is extremely ductile in nature.

Length, better malleability, greater corrosion resistance, and excellent durability. Additionally, they are much easier to fabricate and weld than other forms of steel and are generally more cost-effective. Stainless Steel 321 Plates is important to note, however, that this grade of stainless steel is not suitable for applications that require a non-magnetic material and extremely high heat resistance. In order to ensure proper performance, it is essential to use the correct process for cutting, grinding, and welding the plates.

Features of Stainless Steel 321 Plates

High-temperature resistance: SS 321 Plates are designed to withstand high temperatures, making them ideal for use in applications such as heat exchangers, aircraft exhaust manifolds, and furnace parts.

Corrosion resistance: Stainless Steel 321 Plates are highly resistant to corrosion, especially in environments containing organic and inorganic acids. They are also resistant to intergranular corrosion, which can occur when stainless steel is exposed to high temperatures.

Ductility: Stainless Steel 321 Plate is highly ductile and can be easily formed into a variety of shapes and sizes. They are also easy to weld and machine, making them ideal for use in a wide range of applications.

Strength: SS 321 Plates have high tensile strength and are resistant to creep, which is the gradual deformation of metal under prolonged exposure to high stress.

Oxidation resistance: Stainless Steel 321 Plates have excellent oxidation resistance, which means they can withstand exposure to high temperatures and oxygen without breaking down or corroding.
